49's Legendary Coach pasess

NJSIAA/Shoprite Cup news

A note from Kinnelon AD Scott Rosenberg:

I am proud to announce that Kinnelon High School finished in 2nd place for the NJSIAA/Shoprite Cup for the 2006-07 school year. A tremendous amount of gratitude goes to our coaches, athletes, administrators, and community for their efforts this past year. The Shoprite Cup is the most prestigious athletic award handed out to an athletic program in New Jersey. The award is divided by size of school. Kinnelon finished in 2nd place in the Group 1 category. Points are only awarded beginning with state sectional championships. Team results are the only ones that count. This is a tremendous accomplishment for our school and community. I would like to be the first to congratulate everyone involved in this effort. It starts with our parents, recreation programs and coaches and continues through our middle school and high school programs.

Next year we are moving up to Group 2. We have new and exciting challenges ahead, ones that I’m confident we are ready to accept.

Congratulations to other Morris County Schools who finished in the top 5 in their respective groups:

Hanover Park (2nd, G2), Chatham (3rd, G2), Mountain Lakes (4th, G2), and Randolph (3rd, G2).
