Upset day

Ice hockey: Kinnelon Ice Hockey defeated NJ #2 Chatham 3-2. Star Ledger Article

Boys Hoops: Par Hills defeats Morris #1 Mendham. Mark Kitchen's Article

Girls Hoops (near upset): Delbarton needed overtime to avoid a confernce loss to 5-6 Caldwell. The Chiefs erased an 8 point halftime deficit to send the game into bonus time.

Girls Hoops (near upset): Whippany Park had already gave Mtn Lakes a scare, yesterday, the Wildcats stayed within a few points of the high scoring Colts. Whippany held Kinnelon to a season low and only 11 points at the half.

Girls Hoops (not really upsets): East Orange gave West Morris their 1st loss of the season. West Essex remained undefeated when the Scarlet Knights handed Hanover Park their first conference loss and second of the year. Hanover pulled with one, but could not regain the lead. West Essex too the lead late in the first quarter and never relinquished it.

Boys Notes: Whippany Park Freshman Chris Jones scored his first varsity points yesterday at Kinnelon. This was the Rookies first Varsity game. Pat Sullivan of Delbarton dropped in 23 points in the victory over Caldwell. Mike Sysock hit for 23 in a loss to East Orange. The county's leading scorer for the day was Terrell Coffman scored 26 in a double overtime thriller to Summit.


Girls notes: Alycia Ryan scored 13 as Morristown topped Mt. Olive. The Senior reached the 1,000 point barrier during the game. Erin Phillips scored 20 for the Colonials. West Morris's senior Lynday Burton crossed 1,000 points against East Orange. Tracy Borsinger scored 22 for Villa Walsh as the Viking defeated Caldwell. Meredith Aaronson dropped 23 for Mtn. Lakes as the lakes defeated Verona. Jefferson was aided by Tracy Bartke's 26 on way to a 68-56 victory over Kittatinny.
