Sunday Morning Stuff

How about Randolph Ice Hockey winning their second straight over-all public school state championship. I was not able to attend due to a prior commitment, but you received tons of coverage from your local sports paper. Here are the great articles about Randolph from the Daily Record Staff:

Randolph finally gets to exhale (Dan Breeman)
Rams' comeback was one for the ages (Joe Hofmann, the local wrestling guru
Seniors step up one last time for Randolph RANDOLPH REPEAT

If you miss wrestling, go to this blog and watch this California newspaper: CIF wrestling championships

Rutgers Woman Basketball: March Madness at its best! Are you kidding me! How emotional can 1-TENTH of a second be? Yep 1-tenth of second … hopefully you saw this on ESPN. You can also watch the video that is on the side of the ESPN article. FIVE freshman on the RU team, Rutgers lost to Duke by 40 early in the season! Ummm … WOW!

See very good articles here: Rutgers wins wild one (Daily Record) and Fourth-Seeded Rutgers Stuns Top-Seed Duke, 53-52 (ScarletKnights.com)

Rutgers “R” at the Meadowlands? Why is the Rutgers “R” on the floor and all over the Continental Airlines Arena? Rutgers’ Men Basketball played one game at Continental this season. It was a Seton Hall University home game. It’s Seton Hall’s home court. So why only Rutgers “R,” why not both the Pirate and the “R”?

How are you doing in your NCAA pool? Do you love this time of year as much as I do? This is not my set-up, but you could imagine what mine looks like with a 52" Flat-creen and two 21-inch montors!!

No background checks? Everyone complained and cried about a false lack of background checks in the HP School District. Articles flew up all over the place about the steroids arrests that were not in the school, but elsewhere. Yet, an administrator from a near by school get arrested for the SECOND time in a week and no one seems up in arms over this. It was reported that the guy was in woman’s clothes … left his clothes and wallet at the scene. You go ahead and read the article for yourself as covered by the Daily Record: Parsippany assistant principal suspended after arrest – Now tell me why people hop on the bandwagon when athletes make decisions and make sure that the story turns into an avalanche?

And, like I have said in the past, I am very proud of our District and it shows on the front page of the Daily Record this morning. Teachers and staff in the Hanover Park school district prepare extremely well … yet are still working for over SEVEN months without a contract: Whippany Park H.S. students earn top AP scores
