Spies .. like us!

Growing up in the 80’s, in the midst of the Cold War, CIA, espionage and double agents, the allure of spy movies, spy stories and spy TV shows only grew. Even better, today’s world of Direct TV and hundreds of channels brings a new and exciting spy series to your living room. Yep, Maxwell Smart of “Get Smart” … “Spies Like Us” … “Gotcha”… and heck … “Inspector Gadget” & “Spy vs Spy” now have a new partner … USA Network's Burn Notice!!

In today’s day of Internet hacking and satellite monitoring, I would definitely embark in tinkering with the latest in satellite spying and telescopic high jacking. With the results of all this ultra technology, it would be a remarkable feat going on secret missions without being spotted or identified. I would engage in many plastic face covers to change my facial identifications. I would wear ultra-fabricated skin gloves to change my finger prints. I would definitely have a laptop that acts as a satellite transmitter that has access to all cameras and Internet technologically on the highest level.

By tuning into USA Network's Burn Notice this coming June 28th. When spies get fired, they don't get a letter from human resources. They get BURNED... While on assignment, agent Michael Westen, played by Jeffrey Donovan gets a "Burn Notice" and becomes untouchable. Having no idea what or who triggered his demise, Michael returns to his hometown, Miami, determined to find out the reason for his sudden termination. Unable to utilize his normal contacts and needing to stay under the spy network radar, he puts his Special Ops training to use to help those who the police can't or won't, in order to fund his ongoing personal investigation.

BURN NOTICE (bûrn nō'tĭs) n. 1. An official statement by one intelligence agency to other agencies, domestic or foreign, that an individual or group is unreliable. This is the next best spy story!
