Champions

I should start off by congratulating The State Wrestling Finalists. As you already know:

1st130 Tyler Milonas (Jefferson) dec. James Beshada (CBA), 9-1 (Story)

1st135 Trevor Melde (Delbarton) dec. Nick Murray (Bound Brook), 11-2 (Story)

2nd – 140 Frank Molinaro (Southern) dec. John Barnett (Jefferson), 3-1 (Story)

HWT - Zack Rey (Hopatcong) dec. Drew Doyle (Wall), 4-3 (Story)

-- Yeah, Zach’s a Sussex kid, but well done young man!

I really felt coverage of the main event in A.C. should have been left to the big guys. Being the N.K.O.B, I decided to stay home and stick with Girl’s Hoops Tournament play. I was lucky enough to be two great games, Mt. Lakes v. Hanover Park and Kinnleon v. Cresskill. A huge part of me really felt that I should have been there, maybe next year.

I can tell you that Bob Behre at the Star Ledger was Blogging like Champion. I know that “live blogging” at events is not a new concept, but as the Morris County Monarch of “Live Blogs,” I can assure that Bob’s work was beyond outstanding. It was also great to watch the Finals live on nj.com. I will also agree with the viewing base that the announcers/commentators were unknowable about the sport. They had zero knowledge of the “game” as they called it and the fans had more fun bashing them than watching the live broadcast. Over-all: A+ to the reporters who took the free ride to A.C.

Here is a wrestling match well done: Rutgers vs. Princeton Highlight and the announcer is pretty darn good. More videos at: http://www.outstandingsportsvideos.com
